Over the years, Delhi-resident expatriates home schooling their children desired to provide their children with a North American education in a formalized school setting. Speaking to this need, the East West Educational Foundation (EWEF) opened MDIS in 2002 as a service to expatriates living and working in the city of Delhi. Our beginning was small, but the dream and vision of a quality international Christian education continues today.

During its first year, MDIS served children in grades K-6. It's been exciting to see the school grow each year since. For the first four years, MDIS met in a quaint facility in Hauz Khas in South Delhi. However, in November 2006, the school relocated to its current facility at the YMCA Programme Centre in Greater Noida. The current campus provides an opportunity for the school's growth in the short term.

The sacrificial efforts of many have brought the school through six years thus far, and we believe that there is much ahead for MDIS in the years to come! Vision continues to grow along with the school; MDIS is searching for land on which to build its own facility. The high school aims to provide a college preparatory program for our students that will be going to the West for higher education, specifically preparing students for the SAT and ACT college entrance exams. Qualified staff are ready for growth. We are excited about what the future holds for MDIS and its students!
