Philosophy

  • We believe in operating an educational program that is open to students irrespective of race, color or creed. Our courses of study are intended to equip students for living in contemporary society.
  • We believe that Metro Delhi International School exists to provide academically excellent learning opportunities within a college preparatory course of study. We do not believe that we can meet the schooling needs of all students.
  • We believe that the responsibility for education rests upon parents. We believe that the school should assist families in helping their children to develop a sense of their own worth and identity as human beings created in God's image and for His glory. We believe that education is the continuing process through which this awareness develops in an individual as he grows in all areas of his life toward his fullest potential.
  • Since every experience is a part of that process, our responsibility is to provide the opportunity for intellectual, physical, emotional, spiritual and social growth. Our goal is to develop in our students moral principles that result in a life of obedient response to God and responsibility toward His creation.
  • We believe that a moral education is the essential base for students, and that all subjects should be taught from a world and life view which recognizes the sovereignty of God in every sphere of life and learning. Consequently, teachers in all areas will be helping their students see the spiritual dimension of their subject and the practical consequences of moral principles and faith.
  • The goal is to prepare the student for matriculation to the next higher level of educational endeavor. Included in this is the development of higher level thinking skills, awareness of occupational opportunities, and awareness of God's hand in His creation.
  • We believe that education should be broad-based, providing students opportunities in basic core subject areas and as many supplementary enrichment areas as feasible. The basic core subject areas are language arts, mathematics, social studies, moral education and science.
