Dear MDIS Community
The Fourth Quarter of school begins tomorrow. We’re looking forward to an excellent quarter with class photos, Spring Concert and lots of learning in the classes. You should also receive your children’s report cards this week before the Parent/Teacher meetings on Saturday 14th March.
This year, the Committee of Management (COM) and the teachers have been actively evaluating the school and identifying a school improvement plan. We recently adopted the Californian State Standards as the springboard to build our accreditation portfolio.
The vision of MDIS includes earning accreditation and securing our own land and buildings. We are happy to report to you that work and progress is being made in both of these areas! Parents and members of our COM are pursuing school facilities that will service both Delhi and Greater Noida to prepare us for future growth with similar facilities as we now have.
It is with great pleasure that we welcome Ms Malti Joshi to MDIS and Greater Noida. Malti is from the UK where she has had a long career as a teacher and in school leadership. She will be our acting principal until the end of this school year and facilitating the handover to our long-term principal.
We have extended an offer to a gentleman for this long-term position starting 1 July. He currently leads staff and students of 300 in an all boys Christian school. We look forward to him accepting this position and to introducing him formally to you.
Along with our increased student enrolment, we have welcomed two additional teachers to our staff, Mrs Ashwathy Ebenezer and Ms Prarthana Dickson.
Our next school community gathering is Friday 30 April for the Spring Musical. Please mark this on your calendar and join us for this special event.
MDIS is always happy to hear of concerns and suggestions from you. Please feel free to contact Malti or Cynthia regarding the school or a COM member regarding long term vision and development.
