Students will be admitted on the following criteria:
- Willingness to agree with and abide by MDIS’s purpose and philosophy.
- The child’s previous educational background and likely future plans.
- Fluency in English or demonstrated capability to learn English as a second language. ESL assistance is not guaranteed.
- Demonstrated ability to keep up with the academic standards at MDIS based on past school records, testing, etc.
- Alternatives available for the child’s education.
- The current balance of the school’s student body.
If MDIS is the right place for your child, please follow the following steps for admission. Feel free to call for an appointment to see the school's campus, meet the teachers, principal, etc. before enrolling.
Application All applicants must fill out a complete application form with all questions answered and all requested information attached. The application fee must accompany the application form. Agree to and sign the Purpose and Philosophy Statement.
Interview An appointment will be made with the parents and child for interviews after the child's records are reviewed. At that point, it will be determined if further testing is needed.
Testing A testing appointment for the prospective student may be required to evaluate the individual’s academic level or English proficiency.
A second appointment may be scheduled if there is concern about possible learning disabilities. Metro Delhi International School may give some preliminary tests to the applicant. If warranted, MDIS may recommend testing by a professional.
Acceptance Letter If the child meets the criteria for acceptance and there is space available in the grade for which the child is applying, the parents will be sent a letter of acceptance. If a child does not meet the requirements for any reason, a letter of explanation will be sent.
Financial Aid Parents may apply for financial aid if they believe it is necessary. Please see tuition fees below and qualification for financial aid.
