Grade 6 Homeroom Teacher

I studied Middle School Education in university with a focus on Science and Language Arts. Since completing my studies, I have had opportunities to teach middle school Science, Math and Language Arts as well as high school Physical Science and Chemistry. I enjoy all of the subjects I've taught, but I especially love teaching science because it gives me the opportunity to learn more about God's amazing world and share that wonder with students! The more I learn and teach, the more I realize how vast and intricate God's creation is - and through that, how great God is.  One of the things I love about teaching is having the opportunity to connect with students. I love hearing my students' ideas, seeing their creativity, having the opportunity to invest in their lives and watching them grow and learn. Teaching at MDIS has been a blessing because I have met so many amazing students, families, and teachers from different parts of the world. It is a great privilege to be able to teach in a place where God's name is lifted high.

AP Physics, AP Calculus, AP Statistics, Precalculus

I earned a German Diploma degree in Atmospheric Physics of the University of Karlsruhe, Germany, and a PhD from KIT, Germany. Besides several years of doing research in meteorological fields I counseled and taught university students in meteorology, statistics, and practical laboratory courses. It's my wish and motivation to give students a good understanding of Math, Science and Statistics, in order them to be well equipped for their future career and to understand principles of God's Creation better. I have been teaching at MDIS since 2019. Being a school where students get in touch with Western/Biblical values and teaching styles and many extracurricular activities make MDIS a great place!
